The finished project.    

Warp is hand-spun wool, this was not an easy project, the

warp, as might be imagined, pulled apart too many times.

  Grandma and the lunch ladies.  A farm picnic lunch in their

'everyday' dresses', the headcoverings worn. I wish I could hear

the conversation.  My grandma and the woman standing in the

background have the same belt buckles, their dresses are

likely homemade.  She made most of her clothes.

I remember Sunday afternoons when we would visit the farm, my mother and 

she would get the Sears catalog out and look at the pages of fabric.
