We hiked to the top! At least 4 miles, mostly up the hill, over rocks where you held onto alder
branches so you didn't fall backward. I kept asking - we're almost there, right? Alex rolled her eyes - she's much too used to this. . . We did finally get to the top - mission accomplished! There were blueberries and long distance scenery viewing, making it all worth the trip. As for the trip down, challenging! Much harder than going up and way harder on the trails!
The waters of the Kenai Fjords. How can water be this color? What a magical place this big country of Alaska is. Grand, spectacular, awesome and still so wild. I pledge that whatever I can do I will to keep Alaska wild.
